What are the advantages and disadvantages of wind energy?
With a need to look for more sustainable ways of producing electricity due to the imminent energy crisis, one keen area of focus is on wind energy. There are both advantages and disadvantages of wind energy for use in electricity generation. It is always best to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of wind energy before committing to this form of energy generation. Advantages of Wind Energy
1. Wind energy is a naturally occurring and renewable commodity present in the atmosphere. In areas of high winds this is an ideal energy source solution.

4. Wind energy does not create any airborne pollution like other energy generating processes that contribute to the greenhouse effect.
5. The payback period on initial installation costs wind energy systems is very short making wind energy systems a very cost effect way of producing electricity
